Privacy Policy
Last updated 5 October 2026
This policy explains what information the Hunger Games server at mc-hg.org, this website, our Discord and our store collect, why, and what you can do about it. We collect as little as we can.
1. What we collect
When you play
- Your Minecraft account: username and unique ID (UUID), which Mojang gives us when you join.
- Your IP address and when you connect and leave.
- What you do in game: chat messages, commands, kits picked, kills, deaths and other gameplay events.
- Moderation records: warnings, mutes, bans and anti-cheat results.
When you buy something
- Payments are handled by Tebex. We never see your card or bank details.
- Tebex tells us your username, what you bought, when, and the contact details you gave at checkout (such as your name and email address) so we can deliver it and handle problems.
On Discord and in appeals
- Anything you post in our Discord server or tickets, including ban appeals. Discord's own privacy policy also applies.
On this website
- The website has no accounts, no cookies and no analytics or ads.
- The ban appeal form never leaves your browser. Nothing is sent until you paste it somewhere yourself.
- To work, the site loads fonts from Google Fonts and checks the player count with mcstatus.io. Like any website, these services receive your IP address and basic browser details when they load.
2. Why we use it
- To run the game, keep track of who is playing and save stats.
- To keep the server fair and safe: anti-cheat, enforcing the rules, stopping ban evasion, and handling appeals.
- To deliver purchases, deal with payment problems and keep the records the law requires.
- To answer you when you contact us.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
3. Who we share it with
- Tebex, to process payments.
- Our hosting providers, who run the servers that store it.
- Discord, for anything you post there.
- The police or other authorities, only when the law requires it or to protect someone's safety.
Some of these services are based in other countries, so your information may be stored outside the country you live in. We only use providers we trust to protect it.
4. How long we keep it
- Connection logs, chat and gameplay logs: only as long as we need them for moderation and security.
- Ban and moderation records: for as long as the punishment applies, and for a while afterwards so we can handle appeals and repeat offences.
- Purchase records: as long as tax law requires.
5. Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We'll respond within 30 days. We may need to keep some information, such as active ban records and purchase records, where we have a good reason or the law requires it.
Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you more rights. For example, if you live in the EU or UK, the GDPR also lets you object to how we use your information. If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
6. Children
Many Minecraft players are young. We only collect what's needed to run the server, and we don't knowingly collect extra information from children. If you're a parent and want us to delete your child's information, contact us.
7. Keeping it safe
Only staff who need it can see logs and player records, and we use the security tools our providers offer. No system is perfectly secure, but we'll tell affected players, and the authorities where the law requires it, if a serious breach happens.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. We'll change the date at the top, and announce big changes on Discord.
9. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, contact us at a ticket in our Discord.
